Taking a screenshot to printout:
When the screen displays just what you want, then either:
1. just press Prt Sc (or Print Scrn) on your keyboard to copy the whole screen, or
2. hold down Alt and press Prt Sc (or Print Scrn) to just copy the contents of the open/live window.
The copy has been copied to the computer clipboard, and can be pasted into most programs for printing or editing. You can just paste it into Word or a picture viewer/editor, for example, and print it out.
To edit the picture of the screen you can open a picture/photo editor like MGI Photosuite or similar and paste in the picture from the clipboard. Using MGI Photosuite you can go to the File drop down menu and choose New From Clipboard
Here is an example screenshot From the Clipboard
To select just the part of the picture you want, you can choose the Select by Rectangle Tool, and click and drag a rectangle around the part you want to keep. If you don’t get it right, just click somewhere outside your rectangle, and the try again.
Once you have selected the area to keep you can click on Image and Trim (in some programs you may have to choose Crop, which does the same as Trim.
This should now trim or crop your picture to just the part you want to keep.
To print out your picture it is usually best to go to Print Preview, so you can arrange the picture on the page, resize it.... You may want to go to Printer Setup to choose to print Landscape instead of Portrait (for a bigger image printout maybe)
